How to measure your head
Measuring your head for the right hat fit is easier than you think. Let me walk you through it. All you need is a measuring tape or a piece of string and a ruler. Take a minute, follow the simple steps below, and you’ll be one step closer to finding your perfect fit.
1.
Tools to use
-
Flexible measuring tape
-
String and ruler if measuring tape is not available
-
Pen or Pencil
-
Paper

2.
Measuring tape placement to the head
Wrap the measuring tape or string around your head just above your ears and eyebrows at the widest part. Ensure it fits comfortably and snug, but not too tight.
4.
Record measurement
Measuring tape:
Note the measurement where the tape overlaps.
String:
Mark where the string overlaps, then lay it flat against a ruler and record the measurement at the marked spot.
5.
Double check and confirm
Take your time and repeat the process a few times to ensure a comfortable fit and accurate measurements.
Quick Tip:
If your head size falls between two sizes, go with the larger one for comfort. You can always tweak the fit with sizing tape or foam, but it’s better than ending up with a hat that feels too tight.
3.
Mark the spot and measure
Measuring tape:
Identify the point where the tape begins to overlap.
String:
Mark where the end of the string begins to overlap.
